Tourists sans masks barred from entering India

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday barred Bangladeshi passport holders without masks from entering in Tripura.

The BSF did not allow those who did not wear masks. They were waiting to cross the immigration on the Akhaura-Agartal chek-post in the morning.   

The BSF said it was a precautionary measures taken for making the tourists health conscious.

Later, the Bangladeshis were allowed to enter when they went again wearing masks.

Meanwhile, the flag ceremony set to be held on the no-man's land at Akhaura-Agartala chek-post was postponed due to the spread of  coronavirus in different countries.

Akhaura Chek-post Immigration in-charge Abdul Hamid said temporary health desk staff are keeping remain alert so that no coronavirus infected person can enter into the country.

Immigration police members are also extendign their support to the health workers.
