Hili railway station reopened



The long-established Hili railway station in Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur district was reopened on Monday on the occasion of Mujib Year.

It has been closed for two years since January 8, 2018, causing tremendous suffering to daily commuters and traders.
General Manager of Railway West Zone Mihir Kanti Guha opened the ceremony around 10:30 am.

Hakimpur UNO Abdur Rafiul Alem  presided over the programme while Upazila Chairman Harun-Ur-Rashid , Hakimpur municipality mayor Jamil Hossain, among others, spoke on the occasion.

Considering the importance of Hili Port, the railway friendly government decided to reopen the all kinds of activities at the station, Guha said.
