Khaleda's bail plea rejected again

Khaleda's bail plea rejected again

The High Court on Thursday again rejected the bail petition of jailed BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in Zia Charitable Trust corruption case.

An HC bench of Justice Obaidul Hassan and Justice AKM Zahirul Huq passed this order.
According to the court order, the medical board of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) will take advise from an experienced doctor for the BNP chief's treatment purpose if she wants to take advanced treatment.

Khaleda earlier refused to take advanced treatment at BSMMU.

The medical report which has been sent to the court this morning confirmed the matter.

Supreme Court Registrar General Md Ali Akber placed the report before the same bench today.

As per the report, Khaleda has been ailing from high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma and arthritis but these are under control. Now she is suffering from back pain but did not allow the medical board to provide advanced treatment.

On October 29, 2018, a special court jailed the BNP chief and three others for seven years in the corruption case.
