Investors stage demo protesting massive fall in DSE
Investors staged demonstration and formed a human chain in front of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Tuesday protesting the continued massive fall in stock market.

Braving the risk of cases, the protesters under the banner 'Bangladesh share market Investors Oikya Parishad' staged the demo. They also demanded resignation of the SEC Chairman and reform of the commission.

Earlier on August 27, 2019, the DSE authorities filed a general diary with Matijheel police for continued protest by the investors in front of the DSE building.

In the GD, the authorities alleged that the demonstration causes disruption in normal activities in the DSE.

The protesters also make offensive comment against the SEC and high officials concerned that left a negative impact on the DSE.

Following the GD, investors ended their demo.

The DSE experienced a massive fall in last eight working days.

The DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, lost over 400 points in a week.

Tuesday was the worst day as the index shed over 87 points that forced the investors to take to the street before the end of the transaction.
