Road crashes increase in Sirajganj last yer

Last year, the road accident in Sirajganj district increased than that of 2018.

At least 110 people were in killed and 200 injured in 72 road accidents in 2019 while in 2018, 85 people were killed and 150 wounded in some 55 road crashes.

Hatikumrul highway and Bangabandhu Bridge West Police Station source confirmed the information.

According to the authorities concerned, reckless driving of the drivers, risky overtaking, dilapidated road shapes, unfit vehicles, unskilled drivers, have been shown as major reasons behind the road crashes.

In 2019, at least 81 people were killed and 150 injured in 46 road accidents on highways while 29 people were killed and 50 wounded in some 26 accidents.
