Sk Russel, MSC happy to be in four-team group

This season's curtain raiser of Federation Cup football is to be participated by 13 teams and that way three of the groups got three teams each while Group-D got four teams. Mohammedan Sporting Club and Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra coaches and officials were happy to be in the four-team group.
Sheikh Russel's head coach Saiful Bari Titu and Mohammedan's Australian British head coach Sean Lane both said that they were happy to be in a group of four as that way they were getting the opportunity to play more matches at the beginning of the new season.
Sean, who coached a few Australian clubs and was the assistant head coach of Queensland National Premier League Gold Coast Knights Club, said, "Being in the four-team group creates an opportunity for us to play more matches. I am happy for get the chance to play one match more than the nine teams of the other groups. It will help us prepare for the season."
On the other hand, Sheikh Russel coach Titu said, "It is not wise to judge any group by the contending teams. All the matches of last season tournament were competitive."
With the participations of 13 teams, the 31st edition of Federation Cup football is rolling on 18 December, Wednesday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.
After the grouping, Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) runner-up Dhaka Abahani, Arambagh Krira Sangha and Bangladesh Police Football Club are pit in Group-A while BPL champion Bashundhara Kings, Chittagong Abahani, and Gopibagh's Brothers Union in Group-B. Saif Sporting Club, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club and Old Dhaka club Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society are in Group-C while the four-team Group-D got Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra, Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra, Mohammedan Sporting Club and Uttar Baridhara Club.
