The High Court on Thursday quashed the money laundering case against Abdus Salam, former chairman of Ekushey Television (ETV).

An HC bench of Justice Wabaidul Hasan and Justice SM Kuddus Zaman handed down the verdict.

Lawyer Khurshid Alam stood for the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), while lawyer Shahdin Malik represented Abdus Salam in the court.

Khurshid Alam said the HC has quashed only Salam's part from the case.

The ACC deputy director Shamsul Alam filed the case with Tejgaon Police Station on April 13, 2015. Other accused in the case are Salam's brother Aftabul Alam and former ETV manager Fazlur Rahman Sikder.

The anti-graft body will file appeal against the verdict, said the ACC sources.
