U-19 booters reach safely in Bahrain

The Bangladesh Under-19 boys football touched down safely in Bahrain this afternoon to play in the qualifying round of the AFC U-19 Championship-2020 with a hope to qualify in the next round, according to a message received here from Bangladesh Football Federation.
Bangladesh, pitted in Group E along with Jordan, Bhutan and hosts Bahrain, will play hosts Bahrain on November 6, Jordan on November 8 and Bhutan on November 10, all at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Manama.
Earlier, Bangladesh finished runners-up in the five-team SAFF U-18 Championship 2019 conceding a 1-2 goals narrow defeat to India in the nail-biting final in September in Nepal.
After their SAFF Championship, Bangladesh U-19 team played in a Tri-nation International Friendly Football in Qatar involving hosts Qatar U-19 team and Kuwait U-19 team last month and lost both the matches.
U-19 squad: Mohiuddin, Mitul Marma, Shanto Kumar Dey, Yeasin Arafat, Uttam Chandra Roy, Sadekuzzaman Fahim, Kazi Rahad Mia, Rakibul Islam, Tanvir Hossain, Nazmul Hossain Akondo, Ridoy, Fahim Morshed, Emon Ali, Sagor Hossain, Dipok Roy, Jamir Uddin, Faysal Ahmed, Umon Faruqe Mithu, Amrat Ahmed, Naiyem Hossain, Nihat Jaman Ucchash, Maraz Hossain and Amir Hakim Bappy.     -BSS
