Four crushed under trains in three districts

Four persons were crushed under different trains in separate incidents in three districts- Netrakona, Brahmanbaria and Tangail, recently.
NETRAKONA: A man was crushed under a train in the town on Monday. The deceased was identified as Khandakar Yakub Ali, 56, a resident of Kurpar area in the municipality. He was a former president of Shechhashebak Dal district unit. Police and eyewitness sources said Yakub Ali came to the Bara Railway Station in the town to see off his daughter to the Haora Express Train in the morning. At that time, the train hit him while he was talking to the mobile phone standing nearby, leaving him dead on the spot.

BRAHMANBARIA: A man was crushed under a train in Akhaura Upazila of the district on Sunday morning. Deceased Jamal Miah, 30, was the son of Anu Miah of Goalgangail Village under Monionda Union in the upazila.
Locals said a Chattogram bound mail train coming from Cumilla crushed Jamal when he was crossing the rail line in Gongasagor Railway Station area in the morning, leaving him dead on the spot. Being informed, police recovered the body and sent to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital morgue.
Quoting the family, Officer-in-Charge of Akhaura Railway Police Station said he had been suffering from mental disease.
TANGAIL: Two persons were crushed under a train in Hatia area of Kalihati Upazila in the district early Thursday.

The deceased were identified as SM Rokonuzzaman, 48, son of MM Abul Kashem of Ratanpur Village in Ghatail Upazila of the district and Kalihati Upazila deputy assistant livestock officer, and Rabindra Chandra, 52, of Munshiganj District.
Kalihati Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Md Shahidullah said Rokonuzzaman was going to see an ailed cow of in a house at Analia in the upazila along with Rabindra Chandra riding a motorbike. On the way, a speeding train crushed them in the said area, leaving both dead on the spot.
Later, family members of the deceased recovered the bodies.
