Indonesian engineer electrocuted in Dhaka



An Indonesian engineer was electrocuted while working at the newly constructed power station near Dhaka University Central Playground on Tuesday morning.

A mechanical engineer, deceased Toufiq, 45, was working at Dhaka Power Distribution Company Ltd (DPDC) power station. He was a resident of Siddhirganj in Narayanganj, civil engineer Rasheduzzaman Russel confirmed.
The engineer was brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in an unconscious state where the on-duty doctor declared him dead around 10:30am, said the DMCH police outpost inspector Bachhu Miah.

The body was kept at the hospital morgue, he said.
