The first namaz-e-janaza for Bangladesh National Awami Party (NAP) president professor Muzaffar Ahmed, a member of the advisory council of the Liberation War-time government in exile, will be held on the premises of Jatiya Sangsad.
The janaza will be held at South plaza of the national parliament bhaban at 11:00am on Saturday.
The body will be kept at Central Shaheed Minar from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm for paying tributes by people from all walks.
The third namaz-e-janaza will be taken place at Baitul Mukarram National mosque after Asr prayer.
At night, his body will be taken to his village home Elahabad in Debidwar upazila of Cumilla district and at 10:00am and, on the next day, he would be buried.
Earlier, Muzaffar Ahmed, 98, died around 7:49pm at Apollo Hospital in capital Dhaka while undergoing treatment.
Professor Muzaffar Ahmed, also the former teacher of Dhaka University's Economics department, and three-time lawmaker, with infection in lung and abnormal low blood pressure and several old age complications, was admitted to Apollo Hospital on August 19.
He was kept on life support at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital under supervision of professor Dr Borhan Uddin Ahmed.
