Mohammedan Sporting Club wanted a good end in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) winning its last match against Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society today (Thursday) at 7:00pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.
The traditional black and white outfits are the once power house of local football which along with Dhaka Abahani made the Dhaka football an attraction for the local fans.
Team skipper Zahid Hasan Emily said, "We want to end the league with a win. We want to make it a happy ending."
The vital person in the team management was also talking about the future of the team. He said, "The team we have this year can give a champion fight for us next year. Besides, our coach is qualified. He has the ability to bring out the best of the players."
The sky blue jerseys had managed to keep them at one of the top positions while Mohammedan were seen escaping the relegation somehow for last couple of years.
But this year, Mohammedan which get a new coach Sean Lane recently had returned in the winning way few matches back. Even the low ranked team managed to defeat Dhaka Abahani by 4-0 in a historic match.
Many critics believe that if Mohammed could keep the same team in next season there would be good results for the club.
