Shafin Ahmed brings new solo song

Shafin Ahmed has mesmerized many with his singing skills. For nearly four decades he has been playing the part of vocalist and leader of the hit band Miles. He has also written and composed his songs by himself. Now he is bringing a solo song outside the purview of Miles. Titled 'Batashe Kar Kantha' the song has been written by Samuel Haque while Mehedi had done the composition and arrangement of music. The song was released on July 21 on the YouTube channel of G-Series. Music video of the song will possibly release in Eid.
Shafin thinks that those who remain in waiting for an original song voiced by Shafin will like this new song. The lyric of the song is astounding and Mehedi has also done the music composition and arrangement splendidly. Shafin claims that he does not voice new songs because he does not find one usually that suits his taste. But he is very optimistic about his new song. A video of the song has been made by Ramya Khan where Shafin himself has appeared.
On the other marking the 45th death anniversary of late musician Kamal Dasgupta who also happens to be the father of Shafin, a memorial programme was organised on July 20. At this programme Shafin Ahmed remembered his father by singing a song by Kamal Dasgupta. Shafin has also rendered music of the song in newer arrangement. The song was 'Ami Chad Nahi Obhishap' which in English is 'I am Not a Moon but rather a Curse.' The newly arranged song is available on YouTube, and online music platforms of Grameenphone, Robi, Airtel etc.
Previously Shafin recorded two albums by Kamal Dasgupta with new musical arrangement. The albums are- 'Kotodin Dekhini Tomay' and Nazrul compilation 'Mone Pore Aaj.' Both the songs according to Shafin garnered positive response. Now to express love for his father again, he has rearranged another song on the death anniversary of Kamal Dasgupta.
