The High Court has lifted its previous order to keep vacant the Anti-Corruption Commission's (ACC's) director general post for promoting director Khandaker Enamul Bachhir, who was recently suspended for his alleged involvement for leaking a probe report to an accused.
An HC bench of justice Md Ashfaqul Islam and Justice Mohammad Ali passed the order on Thursday.
Advocate Md Khurshid Alam Khan represented the ACC while advocate Mohammad Kamal Hossain stood for the defendant in the court.
Now there is no bar to give an appointment to the post of director general, said advocate Kurshid.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has suspended its ex-director, Khandaker Enamul Bachhir, for leaking a probe report to suspended Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Mizanur Rahman and receiving Tk 40 lakh in bribe from him.
