A Bangladeshi national was shot to death by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Gilabari border in Bholahat upazila early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Jahirul Islam, 25, son of Enamul Haque of Futanibazar in the upazila, reports UNB.

Commanding officer of Chapainawabganj Battalion-59 of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Mahmudul Hasan said Jahirul along with some other people crossed the zero line and tried to cut the Indian barbed-wire fence around 4:30am.
