Ex-JP MP Kader sued over wealth info

Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against former Jatiya Party Member of Parliament (MP) Abdul Kader Khan from Gaibandha-1 (Sundarganj) and his wife Akhter Jahan Umm Nasima Begum on Monday.
Deputy Assistant Director of the ACC Wahid Manjur Sohag filed two cases against them with the Ramna Police Station in the capital in connection with concealing information about property in their wealth statements submitted to the ACC the anti corruption watchdog.
ACC deputy director Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter saying that the former MP and his wife have been accused as they misguided the ACC by submitting fake statement of property.
According to the case details, Abdul Kader Khan, in his wealth statement placed before the ACC, provided false and baseless information of his wealth and hid around Tk 25 lakh while his wife Akhter Jahan Umm Nasima Begum hid Tk 15 lakh.
