The Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) has formed a nine-member medical board for the treatment of burn injured madrasha student of Feni.
A Burn Unit source told media that the girl is being given treatment as per the board's decision.
Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit coordinator Dr Samanta Lal Sen, who is heading the board, said condition of the girl is grave and may deteriorate at any time.
"I went to the Prime Minister's office in the afternoon.The PM inquired about the girl and asked the people concerned to bring the perpetrators to book," he also said.
Meanwhile, police arrested accused madrasha principal Maulana Siraj-ud-Doula on March 27.
Following the arrest, a section of students have been staging demonstration demanding his release while another section is demanding punishment to the accused.
The victim's mother filed a case with Sonaganzi Police Station.
Nusrat Jahan Rafi, an Alim examinee from Sonagazi Fazil Madrsaha, was set on fire allegedly by some fellows on Saturday morning shortly before the beginning of an examination.
Police said the victim had lodged a complaint against the madrasha principal over sexual harassment on March 17.
Police, later, arrested the principal following a case filed by Nusrat’s mother.
