Road crashes kill four in city

At least four people were killed in separate road accidents at Shyampur and Jatrabari on Tuesday. Three people were killed in a road accident in Shyampur area of capital Dhaka. Identities of the deceased could not be known yet, said Shyampur Police Station officer in-charge Mizanur Rahman.
The OC said a bus of 'Salsabil Paribahan' rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Postogola bridge around 6:00am, leaving three passengers of the auto-rickshaw dead on the spot. The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue, the OC added. In another indedent A man was killed as a bus rammed a rickshaw in Dhaka's Jatrabari area on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Rubel Choukidar, 28, a paint trader by profession, police said.
Coming from Jajira of Shariatpur, Rubel used to live in Mirajnagar area of Jatarabari, he said. The bus hit a rickshaw carrying Rubel in Kutubkhali area around 12:30pm, leaving him critically injured, said Mazid.
Wajed Ali, Officer-in-Charge of Jatrabari Police Station said Rubel was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, Police seized the bus, but its driver managed to flee, the OC said.
