Sylhet Sixers carry winning streak beating Khulna Titans

Sylhet Sixers kept them in the race of the Title of Bangladesh Premier League 2019 beating table quencher Khulna Titans on Saturday by 58 runs at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.
Double Ss skipper Alok Kapali elected to bat first winning the toss and set a huge 196 target for KTs losing four wickets. Sylhet made some shuffle in their batting order that fired for them. They sent young lefty hero Afif Hasan to open with the bat aside Liton Das. Both the openers shone to lay the foundation of SS's big willow.
Afif was one short of fifty from 35 deliveries with five boundaries and couple of over the top shots and Liton gathered 34 from 22 balls articulated by three rope shots and twin sixes.
Danger man in SS tent, Jayson Roy went cheaply accompanying solitary run next to him but Sabbir Rahman, Nicholas Pooran and Mohammad Nawaz hammered Titans bowlers to enrich accounts.  Pooran, the second leading scorer of the tournament went for 19 while Sabbir and Nawaz remained unbeaten with 44 and 39 respective capitals.
Beside Sixers sparkles, reckless bowling from Titans was also aided SS to set the mount. They gifted five no balls, seven wides and four byes to their north-western counterparts. Titans left handed armour Taijul Islam hunted three Sixers batters and Junaid Khan took one.
Conversely, batting paradise transformed into a run-desert for Titans. To hanker after 196, Titans continues poor batting display, who were bowled out for 138 sustaining 18.1 overs.
Zimbabwean recruit Brandon Taylor was the best among Titans batsmen with 34. Besides, contributions from Ariful Haque (24) and Junaid Siddique (20) were helpful for Titans to escape from even larger disgrace.
Local armed bowler Nabil Samad took three wickets while highest wicket taker of the tournament Taskin Ahmed grasped two and hence he has 20 dismissals till date.
With this win Sylhet Sixers kept their hope alive having eight points in their wallet. Chittagong Vikings leading the table with six wins. Khulna Titans are the first team of the tournament to be eliminated from the title race.
