A Jubo League leader was killed and 10 others were injured in a clash between the supporters of Awami League and BNP in Kawkhali upazila of Rangamati district on Sunday morning amid voting in the 11th national elections.
Deceased Basir Uddin, 35, was the general secretary of Ghagra Union Jubo League.
Kawkhali Upazila executive officer and assistant returning officer Mizanur Rahman, confirmed the matter.
The incident took place around 7:00am just an hour before commencement of voting, reports a Bangla online newspaper.
