Child dies in Gafargaon road accident

A child was killed in a road accident in Gafargaon of Mymensingh.

The incident occurred on Saturday (December 29) on KBI Road in Panchpaiar Bazar area in the upazila.

The victim, Khadiza, 6, daughter of Sujon of Gafargaon village, was a first grader of Gafargaon Government Primary School.

According to local sources, a battery operated auto-rickshaw hit the child in Panchpaiar market when she returned home from her father's grocery at noon.

Locals rescued the child who died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

Gafargaon UP chairman Shamsul Alam Khokan confirmed the incident.
