BNP candidate's chief election agent held

Detectives on Friday night arrested the chief election agent of Rajbari-2 BNP candidate Md Nasirul Haque Sabu.

Arrested Ashraf Mia is the district BNP adviser and Pangsha upazila vice president.

Rajbari DB police officer in-charge Md Kamal Hossain confirmed the matter on Saturday morning.

Ashraf has been arrested in a case filed for vandalism, the OC added, reports a Bangla online newspaper.

BNP candidate Md Nasirul said they informed deputy commissioner and district returning officer Md Shawkat Ali about Ashraf's arrest.
