In Patuakhali-2 Bauphal seat, a huge election gathering was held in the local public field in support of Boat on Thursday afternoon.
Before the scheduled time, the public field was filled to the brim, and many people stood on roads around the ground.
More than 50 thousand people from 15 unions and Bauphal municipality participated in the gathering. The chief guest of the programme was Boat symbol candidate and Chief Whip of Jatiya Sangsad ASM Feroz. He was elected MP six times from this constituency earlier.
Chaired by Upazila Awami League General Secretary Abdul Motaleb Hawlader, the rally was also addressed, among others, by Delowara Sultana Feroz, District Awami League relief affairs secretary Rayhan Shakib, former Freedom Fighter Commander Shamsul Alam Mia, Upazila Council Vice Chairman Mosharef Hossain Khan, Ibrahim Faruk, Anwar Hossain Bachchu, Mohiuddin Lavlu and Faisal Ahmed Monir Molla.
This was the biggest rally in support of Boat in Bauphal. People from different unions gathered on the public ground with Boat symbols and musical instrument, giving Bauphal town a festive atmosphere.
In his speech, Chief Whip ASM Feroz asked people to vote for boat to continue development. He also said that Bangladesh will become a developing country from middle income country if Awami League comes to power.
“If Awami League comes to power you will be able to work from home. The people of the country will be in peace.”
