Chittagong Abahani blow away NoFeL 3-0

Last time runner-up Chittagong Abahani has made a winning start beating newbie NoFeL Sporting Club by 3-0 margin in their first match of the tenth edition of Independence Cup football on Monday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.
NoFeL SC, a stage of three districts from greater Noakhali - Noakhali, Feni and Lakshmipur only came to play the first-tier professional league as the runners-up of the last Championship League, the second-tier professional league of the country, along with Bashundhara Kings.
Although the Bashundhara boys are doing well in the event and won their first match by 2-0 against Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, the NoFeL boys failed in their first mission already. The spectators were said that the Chittagong side took the win easily.
Among the three goals of the winners, two were netted by their Gambian midfielder Mamadou Bah while the other one was scored by Nigerian defender Mufta Lawal.
However, the second match on the day between Mohammedan Sporting Club and Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society finished goalless. The once famous Black and White jerseys are failing to do justice to their name.
There is a single match today (Tuesday). Arambagh Krira Sangha and Team BJMC will meet at 5:00pm at the same venue.
