Justice Kamrul Islam Siddiqui, a former judge of High Court division, breathed his last at capital's Ibne Sina Hospital on Saturday morning.
He was 68.
Justice Siddiqui was suffering from cancer.
His namaj-e-janaza was held on Supreme Court premises after Zuhr prayers and was attended by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, judges from Appellate and High Court divisions, Supreme Court Registrar General Dr. Md. Zakir Hossain, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam and senior lawyers, among others, attended the janaza, Supreme Court special officer Md Saifur Rahman told.
Justice Siddiqui will be buried at his village Dargahpur under Ashashuni upazila of Satkhira district.
He was appointed as the High Court Judge on August 28, 2004, and retired at the age of 67 on May 29, 2017. -BSS
