Dr Jhumu Khan: A name to trust in laser treatment

Dr Jhumu Khan is a multi-talented lady, whom we can't define in just one word. She is a renowned singer, a dermatologist and a pioneer in laser treatment in the country. Being a multitasking, she has also broadened her horizon as a woman entrepreneur.
As she is the owner of the Laser Medical Center, a super specialized laser based clinic which provides fast expanding range of aesthetic and cosmetic treatment, she prioritized women in her office. 90 per cent of the staffs in the Laser Medical Center are woman, thereby; she contributed a lot in empowering women in her sectors.
These days, her medical became outright popular amongst the women in the country for the scientific treatment of making one beautiful.  Jhumu Khan is the Chief Consultant, Dermatology, Anti-aging and Obesity Management Laser Medical Center and Ageless Clinic. Now it has three branches in Dhaka city at Dhanmondi, Gulshan and other one at Uttara.
The beginning was not a cake-walk journey. Jhumu Khan's earning from music and medical source was not enough to establish a Laser Center, a thing for which she was craving from her student life. Finding no other alternative to fulfill her dream, she had to mortgage her land to establish the Laser Medical Center.
With the theme of 'New Look, New Life', the journey of the Laser Medical Center began in 2004. The journey is still unstoppable as it continued to make people amaze, by giving them beautiful look in line with its theme."It is good news for all that most of employee and dermatologists are female in my organization. I am grateful to god because God made me woman. A woman can be a good entrepreneur if she has the desire in her mind," said Jhumu Khan.
"I am very much lucky because I am grown up as a successful entrepreneur and I love people on my own way. I have been working hard for the last 14 years to make it a successful venture, now it gets immense popularity which gives me a pleasure. Now we have three branches, which I see as a success."
"To be a doctor is my dream; in fact I wanted to be a good surgeon but during my MBBS, I got interested in dermatology and from then I dreamt of building a Laser Medical Center," she informed.

In early 2000, most of the dermatologists were male but these days, you would see a good number of female dermatologists, she added.
"When I was involved in Holy Family Hospital with Professor Dr Kabir Chowdhury, I observed most of the women came for taking unwanted hair relive treatment and then thought laser treatment could be the best solution," she shared.
Since the introduction of laser treatment in Bangladesh in 2004, it created a wonder and became extremely popular because of the concept of "beauty without cuts & bruises" and is highly appreciated by the clients for the "zero side effect" theory.
"We are the pioneers in introducing the era of laser treatment for Aesthetic purposes. Starting operation on December 16 in 2004, our Victory Day, this center promises to help you achieve victory over your skin problems," said Jhumu Khan, the managing director of the Laser Medical Center.
