Three people, including a Rohingya woman, were detained from Regional Passport Office in Bhola on Tuesday afternoon.

Detained Rohingya woman has been identified as Anwara Begum, 22. She came from Ramu upazila of Cox's Bazar. Two others detainees are Halima Khatun, 25, and her husband Md Zafar, 30, residents of Lalmohon upazila of Bhola.

Bhola Sadar Police Station officer in-charge Sagir Mia said Anwara Begum along with the said couples came at the passport office around 2:00pm to get a passport. An official of the office suspected Anwara as Rohingya and informed police.

Later, police went there and nabbed Anwara along with Halima and Zafar, the OC added.

The OC said the couple introduced themselves as sister and brother-in-law of Anwara to help her to get Bangladeshi passport. The couple brought Anwara from Cox's Bazar seven years ago, the OC added.
