Busy keeping account of runs on field, says Javeria Khan

Mumbai, Mar 21: Had Javeria Khan, who, on Tuesday became the first centurion in the ongoing series against Sri Lanka, not been a cricketer, would have been working as a Chartered Account in the office.
She wanted to be a Chartered Accountant but because of her love with the game became a cricketer instead.  
Speaking exclusively from Dambulla, minutes after registering her second ODI ton, she said, "back in school during break time, when everyone would be busy eating and enjoy talking, my friends and I would enjoy playing cricket. So those days, PCB announced for the regional trials, my sport teacher took us for the trials and I was selected. That paved way to keeping account on score board in cricket field of Chartered Accountant".
Sharing her emotions for being a main contributor in her team achieving 1-0 lead, she said, "scoring a century against Sri Lanka was a very  emotional experience. It is/was special because it came at the time when my team needed it the most with 4 players down. So yes, I am happy and humbled".
The 30-year-old Javeria Khan has dedicated her century to the family.
"I would dedicate this century to my family for being a source of constant guidance and support", she added.
There was no official Player of the match award, but she rightly deserved it.
Javeria Khan, who has played 86 ODIs' and 67 T-20s, is also a right-am off-break bowler.
