Lyrical life

Published : Saturday, 10 March, 2018 at 12:00 AM  Count : 1184
Life goes on, with life-like vitality
It has many curved lines of diversity,
More colours, it has, than rainbow
It goes on, on its colourful arbitrary row,
Souls come to light after a fierce fight
Among lovely 'xx or xy' pairs at day or night,
It crawls, cries as it's feeble and gets foible
Then strides, smiles when plays with pebble.
Obstreperousness arrives and gets its grim
Adolescence crosses at its youth's brim,
Responsibilities grapple while it up grows
Uncertainties with dubiousness chaperones;
However, its youth's madness reaches the ecstasy
Its remembrance of old-age-n-death has melancholy.

The poet is Lecturer/Faculty Member, Department of English at World University of Bangladesh
