The historic Homecoming Day of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman observed in Rajshahi in a befitting manner on Tuesday.

On this day in 1972, Bangabandhu returned to the sacred soil of independent Bangladesh via London and New Delhi, after 290 days captivity in Pakistan jail.

Rajshahi City Awami League paid homage to Bangabandhu and national four leaders’ portrait at ‘Swadinota Chattar’ in Kumarpara area.

A discussion programme and Doa Mahfil were also organized at City Awami League office in the evening.
