Stocks witness rise

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended the second trading day of 2018 with rise on Tuesday as some investors were buying mood.

In Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), turnover, an important indicator of the market, stood at Tk 606.89 crore.

The DSEX in the country's main bourse stood at 6,279 points increasing 25 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) reached at 1,402 points rose 10 points.

The DS30 index also increasing 9 points to stand 2,291 points.

Of the issues traded today, 189 advanced, 100 declined and 46 remained unchanged.

In Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), turnover stood at Tk 37.32 crore.

Selective Category Index - CSCX - rose 76 points to stand at around 19,434 points.

Of the issues traded, 141 gained, 68 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
