Bangladeshi Buddhist: Not responsible for Rohingya crisis

Published : Saturday, 9 September, 2017 at 12:00 AM  Count : 302

Dear Sir
We have seen that, in support of the victim Rohingyas there are some people who are creating and speeding wrong information to disturb the peaceful living of different communities in Bangladesh, specially there is a organized propaganda against the Buddhist community of Bangladesh.
In Bangladesh Buddhist community leaders called upon the Myanmar government to stop ongoing atrocities on Rohingya Muslims in northern Rakhine state.
Bangladesh United Buddhists' Forum came up with the call during a human chain formed in front of the Jatiya Press Club in Dhaka. The forum also expressed concern over the Buddhists' security for allegedly spreading rumours in social media against the minority community people in Bangladesh.
In this context media has a role to play. We have to make people understand by using all communication medium that this Rohingyas are not victim of Buddhism but victim of Burmese nationalism and Bangladeshi Buddhist community has nothing to do this violence.
