BSJWP final held @ BSK

On June 10, 2017 the prize giving ceremony of Bangladesh Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWPBD), was held at Bishwa Shahitto Kendro. Mastermind School wins the year's title and secures their position in the international finals of Stockholm Junior Water Prize. Their project was namely on using titanium dioxide photocatalyst in degradation of industrial dyes. It is a method of industrial grey water treatment which is designed to be applied at a low cost.
Meanwhile, on 12 May, 2017 in a day long competition held at ITN Seminar Room, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, seven finalist teams comprised sixteen members in total, presented their selected projects before six jury members who are experts in the field of water issues.
Out of seventy-five teams only the seven teams made their way to the final round.
The winning team will be hoisting the red and green flag at World Water Week from 27th August to 1st September in Stockholm, where they will be joining other individuals from all over the globe.
The focal point would be to solve global water problems. The competition draws more than 10,000 entries from over 30 countries. This year Stockholm Junior Water Prize will have HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden as the Patron of the prize as in 2016, she was substituted by her brother HRH Prince Carl Philip during her parental leave.
