Body found in city hotel

Police recovered the body of a middle-aged man from a hotel in the city's Tejgaon area on Friday morning.

The dead was identified as Shakique Ahmed Chowdhury, 50.

Sanjay Kumar, superviser of Hotel Farmgate, told media that Shafique, checked in room 710 of the hotel, was to check out this morning.

But, as he did not respond, hotel authority informed police.

On information, police rushed in at about 11am, broke open the door of the room and rescued Shafique in an unconscious state.

He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.





Tejgaon thana ASI Mostafizur Rahman said the reason behind the dead could be known after autopsy.
