Rajshahi, Rangpur post win
Rajshahi and Rangpur won the fifth round of four-day National Cricket League (NCL) match against Rajshahi and Sylhet while other two matches ended in a draw held on Friday at four different venues.
CHITTAGONG VS RAJSHAHI
Magnificent four centuries are scored on the last day in tier-2 of NCL match between Chittagong and Rajshahi at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong. Tremendous batting display of Rajshahi batsmen help to chase the giant target on the last day against Chittagong.
Chittagong Division started the fourth day with overnight score of 229 runs for three wickets and declared the innings at 299 giving the target of 385 runs for Rajshahi.
But Rajshahi started the second innings and reached the target losing only two wickets. Openers Myshukur Rahaman and Mizanur Rahman were propel Rajshahi innings scoring 81 and 80 runs respectively.
One down Junaid Siddique and Farhad Hossain was outstanding as they both smashed unbeaten ton. Farhad smashed all the bowlers of Chittagong as he whacked nine fours and five sixes and scored 113 runs from just 77 balls.
Junaid Siddique of Rajshahi Division was named the player of the match.
RANGPUR VS SYLHET
Nasir Hossain's brilliant double tons saw Rangpur Division to earn an overwhelming 10-wicket victory over Sylhet Division in the Tier-2 of NCL held at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet.
Nair Hossain of Rangpur Division was named the player of the match.
Sylhet started fourth day with their overnight score of 44 for three and all out at 150 runs. Sajedul Islam of Rangpur picked up three wickets for 34 runs.
Chasing the tiny target of 25 runs Rangpur easily reached the target with 10 wickets in hand.
DHAKA DIV VS KHULNA
The tier-2 match between Dhaka Division and Khulna Division of NCL ended in a draw held at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.
Raqibul Hasan of Dhaka Division was named the player of the match.
Chasing a huge target of 303 runs Khulna Division scored 92 runs for three playing 26 overs. Earlier Dhaka Division resumed the fourth day with overnight score of 103 for three and declared their innings at 278 for eight.
DHAKA METRO VS BARISAL
The Tier-one match between Dhaka Metropolis and Barisal Division ended in a draw at the BKSP ground in Savar.
Chasing the target of 236 runs Barisal Division scored 171 runs for six in 37 overs. Al Amin scored 69 runs hitting 10 fours before he caught by Mehrab Hossain in Abu Hider delivery.
Al Amin of Barisal Division was named the player of the match.
