One held with hemp in Kishoreganj

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested a man along with 99.5 kilograms of hemp from Bhairab upazila in Kishoreganj district on Saturday afternoon.

The arrested is Md. Hasan, 30, hailed from Puniaut village under Brahmanbaria Sadar upazila.

RAB-14 (CPC- 2) Camp Commander Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Shahidullah said acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Bhairabpur Uttarpara area under Bhairab upazila and arrested the man along with the drugs.

A case was filed with Bhairab Model Police Station against him under Narcotics Control Act, the official added.
