 Workers beaten to death on suspicion of theft Two construction workers were allegedly beaten to death on suspicion of being thief by the residents of a house in Terokhadia area of Rajshahi city on Thursday night. The deceased were Ataur Rahman, son of Samad of Manda upazila of Naogaon and Raju alias Rakib, resident of Terokhadia area of Rajshahi city. Officer-In-Charge Mazharul Islam of Boalia police station said the duo were in front of a house in Sapur Bishal Biscuit factory area of the city for searching work around 10pm on Thursday. In that time an incident of stealing was occurred and the owner detained them on suspicion of theft and beat mercilessly, leaving them critically injured. On information police rescued them and taken the injured to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital when doctors declared them dead. NY |
