![]() Two killed in Moulvibazar road crash Two men including the driver of CNG run auto-ricksahw were killed in a crash between pickup and CNG run autorickshaw on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Sreemangal upazila in Moulvibazar district on Saturday afternoon. Deceased were Saleh Uddin, 35, son of Dudu Mia, a resident of Bhunabi area and Ali Akbar, 34, son of Ramjan Ali, of Shason village in the upazila. According to locals, a speedy pickup van hit a CNG run auto-rickshaw from the opposite side when it was going to Sreemangal, leaving three including the driver of the auto-rickshaw critically injured. Locals rescued them and took to Sreemangal Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor referred two of them to Sylhet M. A. G. Osmani Medical College Hospital. On Staurday afternoon, Ali Akbar died at the hospital while undergoing treatment and Saleh Uddin succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital, the deceasd's relatives said. Sreemangal Highway Police officer in-charge Md Rakib-Bin Islam said being informed police went there and sized the auto rickshaw but the pickup manage to flee the scene, the OC added. SA |
