 Three held with hemp in Kishoreganj Rapid Action Battalion-14 in separate drives arrested three alleged drug peddlers along with 29 kgs hemp from Kishoreganj district on Friday night. The arrested were identified as Satu Mia, 24, hailed from Protap village of Sadar Upazila in Narsingdi district, Alam Mia, 26, from Ashim village of Fulbaria upazila in Mymensing district and Md. Tutul Mia, 37, from Ukuakanda village of Purbadhala upazila in Netrokona district. Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Mohammad Akkas Ali said acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted separate raids in Bhairab upazila and arrested the accused along with the drugs. A case was filed with Bhairab Model Police Station against them under Narcotics Control Act, the official added. LRR/SA |
