Man killed in Faridpur road crash

A young man was killed and another injured in a road accident at Saltha upazila in Faridpur district on Friday afternoon.

The deceased was Filat Fakir, 34, a resident of Baushkhali village of the upazila. Injured was Abdur Razzak.

According to locals, Filat Fakir was riding a motorcycle in front of Baushkhali School. At that time, his motorcycle collided with another motorcycle from opposite direction around 02:30 pm, leaving Filat and Abdur Razzak injured.

They were rescued and taken to Muksudpur Upazila Health Complex in Gopalganj.

As their condition deteriorated there, both were referred to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur.

Filat Fakir was declared dead there by the on-duty doctor.

Saltha Police Station officer-in-charge Sheikh Sadiq confirmed the matter.
