Child drowns in Bahmanbaria

A minor child drowned in a waterbody at Ashuganj upazila in Brahmanbaria district on Wednesday.

The deceased was Tanjina, 4, daughter of Tushar Miah, a resident of Shalukpara village in the upazila.

Locals said Tanjina drowned in the waterbody this afternoon while playing near it.
She was later rescued and taken to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.

Saidur Rahman, the on-duty doctor, said the child had died before relatives took her to the hospital.
