Child commits suicide in Pirojpur

A child committed suicide at Mathbaria upazila in Pirojpur district on Monday morning.

The deceased was Shohag Miah, 10, son of Ripon Munshi, a resident of Baromachua village of the upazila.

Police said Shohag committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his bed room around 10 am following a huff on his parents.

Later, he was rescued by family members and taken to Mathbaria Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.





Mathbaria Police Station OC Nurul Islam Badal confirmed the matter.
