Youth killed as truck hits bicycle in Savar

A young man was killed as a truck hit his bicycle in Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka, on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Hridoy, 22, a resident of Gaghashia village under Sadar upazila in Manikganj district. He worked at a factory at Birulia area in Savar.

Savar Model Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Ahsan said a truck hit a bicycle on which Hridoy was riding at Birulia area, leaving him critically injured.

The injured was rushed to Enam Medical College Hospital where he, later, died.





Police, however, seized the truck and detained its driver Rezaul Karim and his assistant Raju, the SI added.
