Trader 'hacked dead' in Gopalganj

Police on Sunday recovered the body of a trader at Sadar upazila in Gopalganj district.

Motor parts trader by profession, deceased Mintu Miah, 50, was a resident of Fokirkandi area in the upazila.

The deceased's relative Emon Sheikh said miscreants hacked him to death while he was returning home at about 10:00pm.  Locals saw the body beside Lakepar Bridge in the area this morning and informed police.

Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Gopalganj General Hospital morgue, said Sadar Police Station sub-inspector Russel Ahmed.
