Injured AL activist dies in Dhaka

An Awami League supporter who was injuried during a clash between AL candidate and rivals at  Shariatpur Sadar upazila, has succumbed to his injuries in Dhaka.

He died at Bangabanhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University of the capital on Friday. 

The deceased was identified as Abdur Razzak Molla, 60, a resident of Charjadabpur village of Angaria Union Parishad.

The victim was the supporter of AL candidate Asma Akter.

Shariatpur Palong Model Police Station officer-in-charge Md Akter Hossain said that Abdur Razzak  injuried during a clash between supporters of the ruling party-backed candidate and rival on October 7.

He was admitted to Shariatpur Sadar Hospital. Later, he was shifted to Dhaka for better treatment.

A case was filed in this regard and eight accused were arrested, said the OC.
