Mirza Fakhrul demands Health Minister's resignation
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has demanded the resignation of Health Minister Zahid Maleque for harassment and arrest of Prothom Alo senior reporter Rozina Islam.

"It is a government blueprint to destroy a democratic society. People have no rights in Bangladesh. Divisions have been created in a planned way among the journalists, lawyers and physicians to destroy the society," he said.

Mirza Fakhrul made the remarks while talking to journalists at his Kalibari residence in Thakurgaon district on Tuesday.

Regarding BNP Chairperson's treatment, he said the government was not allowing Khaleda Zia for taking treatment abroad despite physicians' suggestion.

The top BNP leader called upon all including the journalist community to come forward to protect self rights.

District BNP vice president Taimur Alam, poura BNP president Abdul Hamid and general secretary Obayedullah Masud were present.
