Woman held with 6,000 yaba pills at SA Paribahan office in Narayanganj

A woman has been arrested with some 6,000 yaba tablets from S.A. Paribahan courier services at Don Chamber area in Narayangnaj city.
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Aruna Akter when she was receiving a parcel containing the yaba pills from parcel branch of SA Paribahan early Saturday (May 8) afternoon which reached there Cox's Bazar.
The 28-year-old Aruna hails from Louhajang police station in Munshiganj district.
RAB said the woman has claimed that she had long been involved in yaba smuggling.
RAB-11 Battalion's deputy commander Major Hasan Shahriar said an intelligence team of RAB-11 started vigilance knowing that a parcel containing yaba tablets was sent to Narayanganj from SA Paribahan courier services in Cox's Bazar. Being confirmed about the matter, the intelligence team members took position at the SA Paribahan's office in Narayanganj. At about 2:30pm, Aruna Akter went to the parcel branch of SA Paribahan with her child wearing hijab and burqah, and received the a packet of pickles which contained the yaba pills.
At that time, RAB-11 caught her red-handed and at one stage, she confessed that there were 6,000 yaba tablets inside the pickle's packet.
RAB said a case was filed against the woman.
