“Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina had enormous courage as she didn’t do any misdeed. So, no conspiracy could bar Sheikh Hasina from returning home on May 7, 2007,” he told a regular press conference at his residence recalling Sheikh Hasina’s homecoming on May 7.

He said as Sheikh Hasina was born to a political family, she witnessed different aspects and change of courses in history.

Sheikh Hasina’s father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was her political mentor and she loves the people as like as his father, he mentioned.

The AL general secretary said as Sheikh Hasina returned home on that day defying all obstacles to free democracy from captivity, the then caretaker government had been forced to leave the power by holding the general elections fowling pressure created by the pressure.

He said Awami League led Grand Alliance attained a landslide victory in the December 29, 2008 general elections and then formed the government.

After assuming office as the prime minister for the second time, Sheikh Hasina began struggle to build the country as a happy and prosperous nation after retrieving it from crisis.

He said Sheikh Hasina freed the nation from stigma by bringing Bangabandhu’s killers and war criminals to justice.

Quader said because of her diplomatic efficiency, Bangladesh settledlongstanding maritime and land boundary issues with neighboring
countries.

He said Bangladesh is now marching forward on the highway ofdevelopment in an indomitable pace under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
