Auto-rickshaw driver killed as vehicle hits tree

An auto-rickshaw driver has been killed in a road accident in Amtali upazila of Barguna district.

Deceased Kamal Bayati, 30, was a resident of Karamjapara village in the upazila, said Amtali Sadar Police Station officer in-charge Md Shah Alam. 

The police official said an auto-rickshaw hit hard a roadside tree in Rasulpur area on Friday night, leaving its driver Kamal and passenger Raj critically injured.

The injured were rushed to Amtali Upazila Health Complex where Kamal died.
