Nagarik Samaj demands abolition of DSA by Mar 26

Nagarik Samaj, a platform of the country's eminent citizens, has demanded abolition of Digital Security Act (DSA) by March 26.
The demand came from a brief rally after ending a march towards the Prime Minister's Office on Wednesday.
If the demand is not met within the time, the PMO will be besieged, the rally threatened.
Earlier, a rally was held in front of Jatiya Press Club around 11:00am demanding justice for writer Mushtaq and and abolition of the DSA.
A written statement issued by Gonoforum President Dr Kamal Hossain and educationist Sirajul Islam Chowdhury was readout as they could not join the rally, presided over by Gonoshasthaya Kendra Founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury.
After the rally, a procession was brought out towards the PMO. But, the procession was first obstructed near Kadam Fountain and then Matshya Bhaban area Shahbagh. At last it was intercepted in front of InterContinental Hotel where Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury demanded abolition of the DSA.
Zonayed Saki, Chief Coordinator of Gana Samhati Andolon, also placed the same demand saying the PMO will be gheraoed if the act is not abolished by March 26.
